Shipping, Returns, & Exchanges

Shipping:

Each manufacturer ships items from their own warehouse and charges shipping accordingly. This means that if you order equipment from four different brands, you will pay four separate shipping charges and receive four separate packages. You will pay negotiated real-time rates for ground shipping (the slowest but cheapest method) from USPS, UPS, or Fed Ex. You may or may not receive tracking information from your order, but if you have questions about the status of your order at any time, please first check your Order Status (found in your order confirmation e-mail), and then e-mail us at shop@collegeoutside.com.

Please note that Peregrine Equipment/Outdoor Designs/Olicamp/Adventure Medical kits all ship from the same warehouse and therefore consolidate your shipping costs. The same applies to CAMP/Contour/Cassin. This also applies to Lowe Alpine/ Rab, MSR/Thermarest/Sealline/Platypus/Packtowl, Black Diamond/Pieps, BCA/Tubbs/Atlas, NRS/ENO/Werner/WRSI.

*Shipping cost for large orders is just an estimate. Our goal is to make shipping as cheap as possible for you. Once you submit your order, we will add the exact shipping charge based on your order’s weight and box dimensions. The shipping total will be updated on your order status before we charge your credit card or send you an invoice.

Free Shipping Information:

Lowe Alpine and Rab have offered groups free shipping on combined orders of 10 items or more. Good To-Go meals offers free shipping on orders over $75. Glade Optics offers you Free Shipping always! Serac Hammocks offers free shipping on orders over $100.

Returns and Warranties:

Each of the brands on College Outside will work to help you return the item within 60 days of purchase. Each brand will also honor its own manufacturer’s warranty and policies which may or may not include a restocking fee. E-mail us at shop@collegeoutside.com with your order number if you would like to return or warranty an item. For a return, if the item is brand new and in original packaging, you will receive a 90-day store credit to College Outside minus the cost of shipping and possible restocking fee. This process can take 2-3 weeks.

Please note: Icebreaker, Outdoor Research, adidas TERREX, and Five Ten will not accept any returns or exchanges on their products. Evolv will only allow exchanges; they do not allow returns. Please buy carefully!

 

Exchanges:

The fastest way to get the item you want is to return the original item (see above) and then place an order for the item that you want. By doing this, we’ll make sure that the item you want remains in stock and is delivered quickly. You may also want to wait until the original item has been returned and inspected, at which point you will receive a 90-day store credit to College Outside minus the cost of shipping (though this will significantly increase the time it takes to get your new item.)

If an item is damaged or does not operate upon delivery, the manufacturer will comply with its warranty. If an item is damaged or does not operate, please send an email to shop@collegeoutside.com and we will work to replace your item ASAP.
