ROCK at the RED - Red River Gorge, KY (April 13-14, 2019)
Now announcing Eastern Kentucky University and College Outside’s newest event: ROCK at the RED! The brand new 2018 Regional Outdoor Conference in Kentucky will be held at the famous mecca of sandstone crags, the Red River Gorge! Running from April 13-15, this conference offers students the opportunity to both climb and develop their professional skills through workshops and clinics, led by all sorts of rad outdoorspeople. Surrounded by 100 other students from 20+ universities, you’ll meet other outdoor leaders, establish some quality relationships, and try out new outdoor activities!
Arkansas Regional Adventure Programming Conference (ARAP) - Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, AR (April 13-14, 2019)
The Arkansas Regional Adventure Programming conference is a student-oriented programming weekend for individuals who want to connect with other outdoor education enthusiasts. Conference attendees from the region can share ideas and practices while attendees from neighboring states can learn about what Arkansas has to offer. Whether you are a part of a seasoned outdoor program or thinking about starting a program, the Arkansas Regional Adventure Programming Conference is for you. Registration opens December 2018.
Collegiate Outdoor Leadership Summit - Lake Placid, NY (October 2019)
It’s time for the 7th annual Collegiate Outdoor Leadership Summit! COLS is College Outside’s Fall event full of getting outside, improving your leadership skills, meeting other stoked students, and bringing home tons of free swag. If you thought last year’s event was good, this year we have stepped it up and made it even better! Camp with your college crew and hike, paddle, climb, campfire and chill with new friends from universities all over the east coast. The Adirondack Mountain Club is hooking us up, so you’re in for some top-tier outdoor excursions and delicious food! Everyone’s welcome from new stoked members to veteran leaders, as long as you’re down to get dirty! At the end of the weekend, we’re sure you’ll be ready to keep the stoke going with your clubs and programs for the rest of the year!
Collegiate Outdoor Leadership Summit (2013-2018)
The Collegiate Outdoor Leadership Summit (previously CGOW) is College Outside’s flagship leadership weekend, where you get the opportunity to spend the weekend with leaders from other outing clubs or outdoor education programs in your region. We’ve partnered with the Adirondack Mountain Club to provide an all-time location and professional leadership trainings! This weekend is designed to bring you closer to your fellow program leaders, while having the amazing opportunity to meet and learn from your peers at other schools.
